Monty the Spiv will take older magicians back years whilst Sam the Bellhop is very well known, mainly due to Bill Malone’s wonderful presentation.

This version by Peter Stedman has been used in his professional work for many years and was originally based on Monty the Spiv but entirely changed and reworked.

Peter originally published his story and handling in 1987 and this DVD has been revised bringing it up to date. The card handling is simplified and easily within the skills of the average chap. The story is British based rather than American as used in many versions.

This is a really great trick for "Walk About" or "Stand Up" and of course no setup

These are the best Rising Cards I have ever used. A card or cards are chosen by the spectator. They are put back into the pack. Very mysteriously the cards one by one rise from the pack unaided either being held by you or by the spectator in the card box or slotted into a wine glass.

This is VERY easy to do and only needs a LITTLE handling practice. 

Looks like an ordinary deck and feels like one, but in the hands of the performer can be used to control the selected card to any part of the deck. Makes a really great trick and takes a normal close up trick a really top Stand Up item. I have used this on 100's of occaisions as a stand up or close up item an if performed properly will blow an audience away.

No sleight-of-hand required.

The Linking Rings is a great classic in magic. This DVD routine uses the traditional set of 8 large rings in a patter, audience participation routine.  Not so many magicians perform it these days for adults or children and the reasons offered are varied.  [1] It's old stuff. [2] Some people have seen it. [3] Finding a suitable routine for the set and so on.

Yes it's old, but that can be its advantage by telling the audience that it is one of the oldest tricks in magic.  Even if a few have seen it, the others won't have, so that's a minor detail. Most magicians will recall the wonderful routine by Paul Daniels featuring the charming little girl assistant. It was pure 'magic' when seen.

The good points?  Stage filling by using TWO helpers. Either adults or children of any age as assistants. The routine can be used in Stage, Cabaret or close-up. Always ready to hand. No replacements and about 5 seconds to reset. And it's CLEVER REAL MAGIC THAT BAFFLES. This routine is based on the routine in Open Sesame (Lewis & Tyler) Goodliffe Publications.

This routine is tremendous, if you are looking for something new with a prop you have had in cupboard for years and years this is the routine for you.

Making Magical Memories is a book about just that. I think our job as children's entertainers is not just to give kids a good show but to give them some great lasting memories. I still remember seeing a magician when I was a child.

This book has some sound advise on how to advertise your self, Taking the bookings, some tips on staging your show and of course some of my favourite tricks and games straight out of my show. There is nothing here that I haven't used to great success.

It's filled with good, practical advice and routines from a pro (you can tell a pro a mile..opps kilometer..away!)
